Questions, uncorked

How the vault works for holders and for teams. If something isn't covered here, the calculator shows the same rules in numbers.

For holders
What is Cellar?

A vault that receives a token's creator fees from the launchpad and shares them between the people who stake that token. The longer you keep your stake, the bigger your share of each new fee.

How do the tiers work?

Your stake ages from the moment you deposit. The first hour is Fresh and earns nothing. After that you're Resting (×0.5), after a day Aged (×1), after three days Reserve (×1.5) and after a week Vintage (×2). Each fee is divided by everyone's staked tokens times their multiplier.

What resets my clock?

Withdrawing any amount. Your remaining stake starts again at Fresh. Adding more tokens doesn't take away what you've already earned.

When can I claim?

Any time. Your share of every fee builds up in the vault and stays there until you claim it, even if you withdraw your tokens first.

What am I paid in?

ETH, the same currency the launchpad pays creator fees in.

Why does the first hour earn nothing?

To keep launch snipers out. Bots that buy in the first minutes and sell soon after would otherwise take a large slice of the busiest fee period.

For teams
How much does the team get?

A fixed share of every fee, chosen when the vault is set up: anywhere from 0% to 20%. It can never be changed afterwards. Plan it on the For teams page.

Can the team withdraw holders' fees?

No. The vault has no owner and no admin functions. The team receives its share the same way holders do, and has no access to the rest.

Can it pay out more than it received?

No. Payouts are calculated from fees that have actually arrived, so the vault can't owe more than it holds.

Risks
What are the risks?

Rewards depend on trading volume: when trading slows, so do creator fees. The token's price can fall while you hold it. And like any smart contract, the vault can have bugs, so it should be independently audited before it holds real funds. Nothing here is financial advice.
